How it works
1
Add a record, open the pack
Search Discogs, pick the exact pressing and cover, and flip the sealed card. Rarity is graded on the spot from how many collectors have that record versus how many want it.
2
Spin it, grade it, shelve it
Log every listen — spins level your cards up and power dusty-gem recommendations so your favorite records never gather dust. Condition grades (M to P) ride on every card.
3
Hunt your wishlist, earn titles
Build a wishlist from artist discographies. When you score a record, convert the wish into a real card with a fresh pack reveal — unlock achievements and climb the collector ranks.
Five rarity tiers, graded by the real market
No loot-box odds. VinylDeck reads Discogs community data — the have/want ratio and absolute scarcity across a record's top pressings — and grades every LP:
- ● Common
- Everyone owns it — the beloved classics.
- ◆ Uncommon
- Solid demand or a smaller pressing run.
- ★ Rare
- High demand relative to copies in circulation.
- ✦ Ultra Rare
- Scarce and hunted — few copies, long wantlists.
- ♛ Grail
- More collectors want it than own it. The hunt.

Questions collectors ask
What is VinylDeck?
VinylDeck turns a physical vinyl record collection into a trading card game. Every LP you own becomes a collectible card with a rarity grade, condition badge, and play history. You open a pack reveal when you add a record, hunt your wishlist, earn collector achievements, and level up by actually listening to your records.
How is a record's rarity graded?
Rarity is graded from real Discogs marketplace demand, not random chance. VinylDeck aggregates how many collectors have a pressing versus how many want it, plus absolute scarcity, and assigns one of five tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, or Grail. A record thousands of people are hunting but few own grades Grail.
Can I import my Discogs collection?
Yes. Link your Discogs account with one click and VinylDeck imports your entire collection — covers included — 50 records at a time. Your rarity grades can then be refreshed from live Discogs demand data.
What are dusty gems?
Dusty gems are records you rated highly or favorited but haven't spun in over 60 days. VinylDeck surfaces them so your best albums never sit forgotten in the crate.
Do I need to pay?
No. VinylDeck is free — sign in with your email (magic link, no password), claim a username, and start building your crate.
